Send family and friends well wishes for a happy and healthy Passover with our fresh cut flowers and potted plants. All orders made before Saturday April 8th are guaranteed to be delivered on your choice of Sunday or Monday before 5pm. Pokemon Flowers August 25 2016
I've been playing a lot of Pokemon Go since it released in Canada. How about you?
My husband and I have been taking long walks and extra detours to get to Pokestops and we've actually discovered beautiful parks and areas around us that we never noticed!
Whether you play Pokemon Go or not, it's fun to take some time out of our busy days to stop and admire our surroundings. And don't forget to smell the flowers!
I wish I could catch this flower ϞϞ(๑⚈ ․̫ ⚈๑)
Little changes around the store! August 24 2016
Last week, we received products from the beautiful Meiya and Alvin collection. All their products are made from natural, sustainable materials, perfect for newborns and young children. And it doesn't hurt that their packaging is adorable!
With all the new Meiya and Alvin plushes, I pretty much had no where to put them in the store! We needed more display space so my husband designed this amazing crate wall!
We decided to do the whole wall for the effect and I love it! Our balloon area is looking just as great as our plush side :)
Come stop by the shop soon before the fresh wood smell goes away!
See you soon! xo

The most adorable wedding of all weddings July 04 2016
This Canada Day, we drove to the beautiful Domaine Bouchard Champagne in Saint-Basile-le-Grand to set up the most adorable wedding of all time!
K & D's rustic wedding focused on succulents in lieu of flowers and we are so happy with the results! The deep red accents were perfect to highlight the festive holiday and contrast all the varieties of green from the succulents.
The bridal bouquet made of mixed succulents, hand tied with a trailing crimson red ribbon. I chose a few succulents that had a redish hue on their leaves to coordinate with the ribbon.
Even the flower girl got to have some succulents on her petal basket! A few plants were wired to her basket and held in place by a red satin bow.
Red rose boutonnieres for family members. Succulent boutonnieres from the groom, his groomsmen and the little ring bearers.
A vintage style wood marquee letter used as a table number paired with succulent terrariums over burlap and lace table runners.
The centerpiece was a mix of rustic elements that wedding guests could share and take home at the end of the evening.
Spotlight on local flowers June 15 2016
One of the best parts of spring and summer in Canada is the beautiful blossoms it brings with the warm weather! Shopping from local farms is very important to us at Les Fleurs par Pierre and we always purchase Canadian flowers when available.
Here are some of my favorites that you can usually find in our fridges.
Peonies are almost every girl's favorite flower. These huge blooms have so many petals in a fluffy delicate texture and the smell just brings a smile to your face! I've never heard of anyone who didn't love peonies.
These flower favorites are available locally in June and July, making them perfect for weddings or to pick up as a hostess gift to bring to a BBQ!
I think Canada's most famous locally grown flower is the gerbera. It's bright colors and big welcoming petals just feel so Canadian! We get our gerberas from a wonderful farm in Ontario year round.
There are so many colors, color combinations and even cross overs with pom poms, making the gerberas very versatile and mix well with other flowers in your bouquets.
I like to add a green straw on the gerbera stem to keep them tall and straight but you can remove it once at home if your vase is narrow enough to support the flower.
I think snapdragons have the coolest name of all the flowers. Despite its tough name, snapdragons look very delicate and dainty. It is a lengthy flower that blooms from the bottom and goes upwards. Usually the buds at the top never open, but I think it's for the best because the texture of closed buds give a nice touch of green. Doesn't it make you want to touch it?
I love snapdragons in pairs or more together in a bouquet.
Lisianthus is my favourite supporting characters in a bouquet. Alone, lisianthus looks a bit strange, curving in all directions but within an arrangement, this flower really adds whimsical texture and movement.
It's so fun to watch lisianthus bloom. As you can see on the photo I took, only one flower is pink. Slowly but surely, the two flowers on either side of it will turn pink and bloom just like their sister. The top tiniest buds usually do not open but they still look pretty!
Unfortunately, local tulip season is soon drawing to an end. I'm going to miss these inexpensive flowers! On their own, tulips can make great bouquets or mixed with other flowers, they are a nice blooming surprise.
Tulips are actually one of the few flowers that keep growing after they are cut.
My favourite tulips are double tulips. As you can see in my photo, there are several layers of petals ready to bloom. We usually see tulips with only one layer and they open like a cup, where you can see directly inside. Double tulips open up all their petals and become exotic beauties. You wouldn't believe they are grown in our own backyards!
Remember the impact you are making when you shop locally. Although we can't always buy from Canadian farms (flowers, fruits, vegetables, dairy products) due to availability and seasonality, we can always do our best to support local businesses when possible.
Canada Day is coming up soon so don't forget to celebrate with a few great products from our beautiful country!
Budget Brides Roundup May 19 2016
Last year, I wrote a few posts on my favorite tips for Budget Brides. In case you missed them, here is the roundup!
Weddings can be very expensive, but they don't have to be if you are willing to scale back your vision and get a little crafty! And as a lover of spray paint and mason jars, there's nothing I love more than a DIY wedding. So roll up your sleeves and let's get to working on your dream wedding!
I'll post more ideas as we go through the 2016 wedding season. In the meantime, feel free to contact me to discuss your wedding and how to make it THE wedding you've been dreaming about. Within your budget of course ;)
Wedding season is here! May 16 2016
There may be a little snow falling down as I write this, but trust me, wedding season has started! We've already tackled a few weddings so far this year, but the wedding weekend lineup is about to start!
A lot of brides who have smaller weddings, often come in a week or two beforehand to inquire about wedding flowers. There is no shame in that! However, you are limiting yourself to a smaller selection of flowers and colors by doing so. For the easy going bride, this is no problem. But if you already picked out your blooms and your Pinterest board is organized, don't wait any longer and come see us in store for a quick consultation on the spot!
What to bring with you?
Any photos you have of your dream bouquet
A photo of your wedding dress and the bridesmaids' dresses
Your wedding color scheme
Wedding date, location, time, number of guests
If you are in a hurry and just stopping by the shop, feel free to pop in for a 10-15 minute consultation during our opening hours. Otherwise, feel free to contact me to schedule a 30-45 minute sit down consultation to go over your dream wedding.
I can't wait to see what your Pinterest board looks like! See you very soon brides of 2016!

Passover - Friday April 22nd! April 15 2016
Happy Easter! March 24 2016
Happy Easter weekend! What do you think of our bountiful spring arrangement? It's really starting to look (and smell!) like spring.
If you've been by the shop or following us on Instagram, you might have noticed that I've created a lot more vintage and garden style bouquets lately. I absolutely love this floral trend!
The garden style uses flowers that aren't perfectly straight, that have slight curves and movements to their stems. They are whimsical and make floral arrangements look like they are picked straight out of the garden. Flowers come from nature and I hope you enjoy bringing a piece of the outside, inside your home.
So whether you celebrate Easter or just eat the chocolates, come stop by our little shop to pick up a lovely bouquet. We will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and closed on Monday (we have to take time off to eat our chocolate too!)
Happy Purim! March 23 2016
Happy Purim to everyone celebrating the colorful Jewish holiday!
This is one of my favorite Jewish holidays because making gift baskets is such a fun and creative craft! This is our mishloach manot mini-bags for children to give their friends and of course we had a variety of different size baskets.
Unfortunately, this year we didn't have any overstock to sell online. But if you would like to be on the list for Purim 2017, send us a request through our contact form.
Instagram & Air Plants March 16 2016
Have you been following our Instagram account?
We've been posting some of our favorite arrangements before they leave the store. And yesterday, we announced a brand new product hitting the online shop very soon:
Handmade Brass Mobiles with Air Plants !
Pre-orders will be taken next week and afterwards they will be available for purchase online and in store. Don't you just love these little geometric mobiles?
Why send roses? February 18 2016
Over Valentine's day week, a few new faces popped up at our shop to pick up some flowers for their valentine. Of course, we love having new customers! Unfortunately, a few of the men were a bit apprehensive about the thought of spending a good amount of money for a dozen of long stem red roses. And they should be! Red roses have dramatically increased in price this year for Valentine's Day, due to our plummeting Canadian dollar (yep, roses are imported). But I'll let you in on great news: women love receiving flowers, not just red roses.
And get her flowers on other days than Valentine's Day! She'll appreciate it just as much.
Post V-Day, 200 Likes on Facebook! February 17 2016
Thanks for all your love Facebook friends! Over Valentine's weekend we passed 200 Likes and as promised, we are going to share the love!
Comment on our FB post and we will pick 2 people at random to receive a bouquet at their work (or wherever you are during the day). Winners will be picked Wednesday at 10:00AM. Good luck!
Congratulations Lydia E. & Laydiana C.!
Thanks everyone for participating! Next giveaway is at 300 Likes!
